about us
By blending the time-honored tradition of mindful nature connection with modern health science, we transform a simple walk in the woods into a profound, accessible pathway for lasting stress relief, enhanced physical health, and holistic well-being.
Our Mission
To bridge the gap between modern life and the natural world by delivering guided Shinrin-yoku experiences that reduce stress, enhance immune health, and establish nature immersion as a recognized, accessible form of preventative therapeutic care.
Our Values
At Forest Bath Therapy is deeply committed to stewardship—honoring and protecting the ecosystems that heal us—and to ensuring that these life-rejuvenating nature immersions are accessible, welcoming, and therapeutic for individuals from all walks of life.
Riisa Mandel is a wellness practitioner and the founder of Forest Bath Therapy, an organization dedicated to bringing the restorative practice of Shinrin-yoku to communities across the country. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of mindful nature immersion, she guides individuals and groups through sensory walks designed to reduce stress, boost immune health, and restore balance in a hectic world. When she isn’t leading multi-state retreats or collaborating with health networks to integrate nature-based therapies into mainstream preventative care, she can be found exploring local trails and advocating for environmental wellness.
“Forest Bath has an amazing team of hard working professionals. It has been a pleasure to meet them.”
